BOZEMAN, MT

So, we are eating breakfast in Bozeman, MT (well, Dad is eating breakfast at a cute little coffee shop called Freshies) and headed north shortly to Libby MT. It has been quite the drive so far…with little time to update my blog. i was certainly willing but dad had his hands full driving. I would have updated my thoughts last night while we were camped at the River Trail Park in Bozeman but, alas, Dad started mchatting with the guys camped next to us…and they offered him a steak (which he did not share) and the Bourbon came out and…Im surprised dad could find the tent! Geez!!! We did enjoy a pleasant hour in downtown Bozeman before arriving at the campground…Dad picked up a couple of things that he “needed” from the Styio store…shirts and pants, like he needs shirts and pants. But they were nice to mee and let me run around the store while Dad shopped.

And, Dad needs to pay more attention on the road…night before last we camped at the FamCamp at Ellsworth AFB…but we damn near did not make it…at least at a reasonable hour. Dad filled up with gas in central South Dakota thinking we had gas to get to Ellsworth AFB…and time passed. Finally Dad turns his thoughts away from The Bully Pulpit by DOris Kearny Goodwin and…surprise…we were in the middle of no where with 5 miles (which immediately turned into 0 mile range) with nary a gas station in sight. Dad googled gas near me and found a station 8 miles in front of us. It was a nervous 8 miles but…we did make it. Hopefully Dad will pay more attention. ..and dtysay off the Bourbon at night…although will be tough this evening. We will be in Libby, MT visiting Nate Haley…one of Dad’s friends from Rock Creek in Chattanooga. Dad went to Whole Foods yesterday and bought Ribeyes, green beans and corn…so should be quite the feast tonight, at least for Dad and Nate. My stomach has been iffy so I doubt I get any steak…but a dog must hope!

Anyway, heading north to Libby, Jasper NP in Alberta and onward. We are all good and the camping has been easy so far…more later!
